Over 1 million Georgia children qualify for the free and reduced meal program at schools, leaving them vulnerable during school breaks to perpetrators who exploit this need to lure them into Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking. With 1 in 20 children not knowing where they will get their next meal, we need your help to protect children this summer by providing bag lunches to be distributed by Action Ministries in the neighborhoods that need it most!
Smart Lunch, Smart Kid begins on June 1. Your congregation, small group, scout troop, or corporation can sign up below to provide as few as 50 or as many as 10,000 lunches! By appointment, Action Ministries can also provide warehouse space for your group to host a lunch-making event, accommodating as many as 100 volunteers.
Shopping list for 100 lunches:
- (10) loaves of bread (make sure each loaf has at least 20 slices)
- (100) slices of cheese
- (100) slices of meat
- (10) 16-18 oz jar of jelly
